Hey, we’re Colin and Meg and along with our girls we are on a mission to travel to 50 countries & are currently just over 1/2 way! We are so glad you have landed here on our website as we have loads of incredible travel content here for you to explore. If you are a new friend, we’d love to share a bit more with you about our story how we landed in the travel industry.
Our Beginning
2021 was a big year for us when we were selected by Airbnb to join the Live Anywhere program. Out of 314,000 applicants, our love for travel and desire to raise our girls through that lens led us to leaving our home for 10 months of full time travel with a 2 and 4 year old. (Watch how it all happened!)
Knowing that this was such a once in a lifetime opportunity, we kept our cameras close and shared our journey with photos and videos that resembled more like home videos. We started a YouTube channel and posted regularly on Instagram but it didn’t take long for that to change however. About 2 months into our travels, we asked the question “Can this actually be a business that can support our family?”
Well, that was the beginning of “Colin + Meg” as we know it and since then we have successfully launched a digital publishing company and are funding our travels through the work we are doing online. Colin is going to be a published photographer in an upcoming travel book, we have partnered with brands that use to live on our “vision” board & we are investing time and energy into making this blog a helpful tool for those of you looking to adventure with your families.
Our Website
We hope in our blogs you will find a mix of adventure and fun. While you won’t see us jumping out of planes any time soon, you can catch us walking upon a wild herd of Pygmy Elephants in the jungles of Borneo, watching the sun rise over Angkor Wat, swimming with turtles in Mexican cenotes, kayaking in the Ha Long Bay, road tripping through Tasmania & on Safari in the Masai Mara… just to name a few.
By no means do we have it all figured out, in fact we have learned so much along the way and hope that our mistakes and the lessons we have learned will hopefully make your travel experiences stress free and meaningful.
